A Collective Awakening
A collective awakening is a visual ode to the collective conscious of African descendent people across the world coming into our power and realizing the divinity within us. Collectively those from the African continent and across the diaspora are loving and embracing our authentic identities and culture after being mentally and physically displaced for centuries. We are experiencing a divine calling to return to our roots and indigenous practices, this film serves as an exploration and amplification of this current phenomenon.

Joga Bonito
JOGA BONITO (“play beautifully”) reflects my lived interpretation of a term coined in reference to the beautiful style of play associated with Brazilian football. I am just a person who feels it all, whether there’s tears in my eyes or a smile across my face. These are scenes from my life that depict where I’ve been and where I’m going, as well as who and what impact my life. My desire was to share different angles and moments of small joys that arise from pain and discomfort, even when unseen hardships prevail. This is an ode to and an act of love.
